Hibot seals MOU with Manufacturer and Trading company RIX
(Tokyo, July 19) Hibot Corp., an innovative robotics start-up pioneering infrastructure maintenance applications, concluded an MOU with RIX Corp., a Japanese Manufacturer and Trading company that is supporting industries in Japan and abroad.
Hibot develops and provides various infrastructure maintenance inspection robots (smart tools), such as Float Arm, an articulated robotic arm with self-weight compensation function, designed especially for inspection and maintenance in narrow, hazardous or confined spaces. Hibot develops also software tools, such as HiBox, a digital platform used to interface with robots, save, manage and analyze data collected form smart tools, and generate inspection reports. With this multi-disciplinary approach, hibot is contributing to the digital transformation of infrastructure inspection works.
RIX, established 115 years ago, supplies various solutions as a Manufacturer and Trading company to a wide variety of industries, including steel, automotive, electric appliances, semiconductor and more. RIX has 35 branches in Japan and 11 branches in other 7 countries. RIX excels at speedily providing solutions required by its customers with its strong worldwide channels.
With this MOU, the two companies will create synergies between hibot's technological capabilities in infrastructure inspection robot development and RIX's customer-focused approach, as well as its problem-solving and deployment capabilities as a manufacturer trading company, to promote further expansion of both business areas.
RIX and hibot will exhibit at the Maintenance and Resilience TOKYO 2022, at Tokyo Big Sight.
