| Job Summary |
Industrialization of the design of the robotic arm. Candidate that would fit well should have hands-on experience (not necessarily professional experience, personal project, research or school assignments are all accepted) designing moving mechanisms (with actuators, bearings, pulleys, gears, timing belts and/or link mechanisms). Designing / reviewing / improving moving mechanisms will be a major part of the job and will also be taught during work. Willingness to learn, improve and receive criticism is necessary. A solid foundation in Physics is expected. Thinking outside the box and incentive to propose and contribute to the overall goal is a must. (instead of a must, might be better to state “is a required skill”) We offer the benefit of gaining skills in designing and improving cutting edge robots. |

| Key Responsibilities |
・Manage and report your progress of tasks to the Team lead ・Work with the Team lead to validate assembly processes. ・Work with internal teams ensuring “quality by design” and design for Manufacturability ・Document control and change management ・Specification of systems, sub-systems and components ・Systematic design review ・Stress Analysis ・BOM Simplification (Reduction of Parts and Assemblies used) ・Assembly Analysis ・Minimization of custom machined parts by utilizing commercially available components |
| Required Qualifications |
・Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., OnShape) ・Any experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, tolerance stack analysis ・Any Experience with dimensioning machine elements (such as screws, pins, gears, rivets, etc.) according to industry standards and best practice. ・Enthusiasm to learn and improve in challenging environment |
| Preferred Skills |
・Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. ・Knowledge of designing machine parts and sheet metal parts ・Knowledge about industrial standards ・PLM (e.g., Arena). ・Experience with dimensioning gear systems and choosing OTS gear elements |
