Language Fluent in either English (TOEIC800 or equivalent)and Japanese(N2 or above).
Job Summary We are currently seeking a Project Field Engineer who will play a vital role in the successful deployment and operation of our robotic systems in the field. You will be a key technical partner to our clients, ensuring the seamless implementation of our technology on-site.
Note We will do background checks on past experiences
Key Responsibilities As a Project Field Engineer, you will be at the forefront of hibot’s operations, handling robotics in the field, providing technical support, managing deployment projects, and troubleshooting challenges in real-time. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
・Collaborating closely with design engineers and internal teams to optimize system performance
・Supporting the deployment and operational use of robotic systems tailored to customer needs
・Diagnosing and resolving technical issues through effective troubleshooting
・Monitoring system performance and generating improvement proposals
・Providing customer training and creating/updating technical documentation such as reports, manuals, and procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills ・Possess technical knowledge and skills in robotics or related fields (such as mechanical, electrical, control systems, or embedded technologies). Our robotic products feature highly precise and complex structures, requiring a solid foundation in engineering as well as practical problem-solving abilities.
・Have the fundamental academic ability to accurately understand product architecture and operating principles. As our systems are technically sophisticated, the ability to read manuals and technical drawings, and to grasp system structures and functionalities, is essential.
・Demonstrate strong communication skills. At hibot, teamwork is essential — we value individuals who proactively support their colleagues and who are also not afraid to ask for help when needed.
・Excel in on-site responsiveness and problem-solving, with a strong attention to detail. Fieldwork often involves working under time constraints, so the ability to remain calm and make sound judgments is crucial.
・Proficient in both Japanese and English communication. Guideline: Japanese proficiency at N2 level or higher, and English at TOEIC 800 or above. This role involves close collaboration with a global engineering team, so the ability to communicate seamlessly across languages is a must.
Software proficiency Experience on using 3D CAD (preferred primary CAD platform)
Preferred skills (nice to have) ・Experience in field deployment, adjustment, and maintenance of robotic systems
・Experience handling international projects or working with multicultural teams
・Experience using 3D CAD software, PLCs, and various measurement instruments
・Experience in customer support, technical assistance, or delivering technical training
・Work experience in a startup or technology-driven venture
・A self-motivated learner who embraces change and enjoys taking on new challenges
Personal attributes ・Someone who enjoys working with robotics and mechanical systems in real-world settings
・A proactive problem-solver who isn’t afraid of technical challenges
・A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating directly with customers
・A globally minded individual who wants to work on international projects with real impact
